KSL’16 – Dining Room

The dining room is an example of classic, everyday elegance, mixing traditional elements with more streamlined contemporary pieces.   The formality of the space is versatile, easily going from casual dining to entertaining, which reflects today’s lifestyle.   This intimately sized dining room feels open and light, inviting everyone to relax and stay a while.  The fun, splashy floral rug and the unique faux finish in the architectural tray ceiling sets the tone and color scheme for the room.

The table is set in white and gold, with a hint of silver on the fine china.  The flatware combines both metals.  Rather than the traditional floral centerpiece, the trio of gold “urchins” offers a more unusual option.  For a personal touch, the accessories throughout the dining room and butler’s pantry blend colorful original artwork, retro-inspired glassware, and a collection of ceramics to create a curated style with character.

With the whimsical balance of casual mood and formal gold leaf, this dining room embodies the sentiment, “Eat Cake for Breakfast”.
